I hope you are well and keeping your spirits up.
Firstly sadly I have to report that National Alfa Day has been postponed until next year, it will as planned for this year be at Bicester Heritage Centre
As some of you will have seen the clubs Section Secretaries recently had a Zoom meeting (image below) which was actually quite successful, they do work best with individuals taking turns to speak but it could work for us, if any of you do Zoom and would like to have an online session, let me know and ill set up a meeting, possibly in place of our Monthly pub meets as we may not be doing any of those for a while longer.
I have also taken over the East Anglia Section page on the AROC website, I have added a back catalogue of about 10 monthly newsletter with images and will continue to do so as and when time allows. All newsletters and reports from now on will appear on the site at the same time as being emailed out.
To keep you visually amused, many of you will know Jethro Bronner, but he does some nice restorations on 105 series Bertone’s, worth a watch, for those that fancy a road trip in a 105 I think South Africa to Ireland is pretty epic! See below:
Our next scheduled was to be at the Ox and Plough ( see below) with all pubs and restaurants closed this has now been postponed. After Boris address last night, we may get some pubs opening from July onwards, but as we don’t all live in the same household I doubt we will be allowed to meet anytime soon but who knows, hopefully the 2 meter distancing rule can be relaxed soon so we can all get together.
POSTPONED May, Classic Car Bike and Lorry Show, Sunday 24th May 1pm till 10pm at the Ox and Plough The Green, Old Buckenham Norfolk, NR17 1R England’s largest village green, I have agreed with the organisers that all ages of Alfa are welcome. Its a fairly relaxed event with freedom to come and go as you wish. The pub organisers a number of similar events.
