We visited Kimbolton Country Fayre which is one eastern England’s largest classic & club car shows and it’s an annual event for us.
Our first job was to grumble about the amount of space we have been given! However in the end it was decided that all the priceless exhibits would actual fit … we were nearly there when the club next door worked out it only needed half the allocated space and asked if we could extend over ‘the line’ to half fill their pitch – engines restarted, and space expanded good result. We had an excellent mix of Alfas with not one but two Montreal’s this year.
Next job … site the gazebo, with our newly extended space we were bale to site the gazebo in the centre of our display for the convenience off all the members. Then it was time for breakfast kindly provided by Caroline & Colin and enjoyed by all – its amazing what you can get in the boot of a Quad! We then set out the soft and alcohol free bar including coffee and tea making facilities again thoughtfully provided by C&C.
Its was a very sociable day with many people visiting us and asking about the display. Most of our members enjoyed the stalls at the country fayre others could be seen visibly shocked by what had been ‘put on the card’. As they say ‘a good time was had by all’.
Another excellent club event, with plenty for people to do throughout the day.
