February 2025 Meeting
Following our January meeting at the St. Leonards Hotel (which I omitted to note in these pages – apologies), we returned for our February meeting to one of our favourite watering holes, The Empress of Blandings, for another convivial evening of Alfa themed conversation and beer ! A small but very select group of Wessex members attended. We were joined by Andy Reed who joined the club recently, was attending his first Wessex Section meeting and to whom we offer a warm welcome. Andy came along in his very nice 916 GTV Cup which was much admired in the car park at the end of the evening. We understand that Andy also has an S3 Spider and previously owned a Ferrari Dino 246 (which he described as his favourite car !)
John and Sue Lapham came along to the meeting with news that they had sold their Tonale PHEV and had replaced it with a Giulia.
Many thanks to John Parr who stood in as “MC” in my absence. John shared with the group that an event planning meeting had been held the previous week and that our Meetings and Events List for 2025 should be published in the coming weeks. John also mentioned a couple of events for which “early bird” tickets are already available, specifically Auto Italia, Brooklands (May 3rd) and Simply Italian, Beaulieu (Sept 28th)
