A number of the Sussex Section joined members from Surrey who had a drive out to Leonardslee Gardens in Sussex. Needles to say our members did not meet the Surrey cohort at their starting point at the Star, Malden Russet, instead enjoying a leisurely drive on home turf to one of Sussex’s most beautiful gardens.
Many enjoyed the display of radio-controlled model boats on the Waterfall Lake by the Schooner RC Group, which included Surrey Section member Barry Smith. In addition to the boats, Leonardslee provided lots of interest for all generations and tastes including an extensive garden centre, a dolls house museum, and a vineyard. The wallaby enclosure with it Albino wallaby and a young albino Joey was a big hit.
