April Monthly News Letter

East Anglia
4 April 2023

Hi All

Coming up next we have Cars & Coffee at the Old Ferry Boat at Hollywell near St Ives, details below. Then the big one for the section, Spring Alfa Day at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, expect 500 plus Alfas of all ages, details below, remember entry is by pre bought tickets only, link for that below too!

We had a great first Cars & Coffee meet of the year, venue was the  Liberator Cafe at Old Buckenham Aerodrome in Norfolk. It was good to meet some new faces and some new cars. The Tonale was well received, and much prettier in the flesh than in photos, the interior is a nice place to be too! I think I photographed all the cars, but I know I missed one, mine! But as I washed it on the dark it was probably just as well! That black Stelvio is a beast!! 4c turned my head as usual!! So did Kens boat tail and a GT looks good in white. Photos on the section facebook page, see below

I have booked a stand for 35 cars for Kimbolton and 30 for Helmingham. A number of events seem to be changing their booking systems. Kimbolton wants you all to book online, but then you have to tell me you’re coming, then I have to confirm the number going, and book a space big enough! (Comment has been made re last year’s stand being undersize!) There will be no need for the wristbands as I guess you’ll print your own ticket. Tickets will be available via www.Ticketsource.co.uk, currently only general admission are available.

Helmingham and Glemham I will have to book as a block so let me know which you want to go to, the Oaksmere which is on the same day as Glemham will be a come and go as you please relaxed event.

We have a very busy series of events this year, in some new areas and venues, plus some Sunday morning Car and Coffee meets which are getting very popular, we also have a major clash in September with three on the same day, let me know your choices! See below;
