July 2022 Meeting
Our July meeting was our annual Show and Shine fun concours competition. The event was again held at the Langton Arms at Tarrant Monkton, a beautiful old Dorset thatched pub in an idyllic village setting. The pub has the benefit of a large field where we can display our cars. We were fortunate to enjoy another warm, sunny and dry summer evening as people enjoyed drinks, dinner, chatting and admiring the cars !
This year’s event was sponsored by Peter Smart Classic Alfas to whom we offer a big thank you.
Ultimately, a total of 18 Alfa Romeos were displayed. We also welcomed Timo Allison and Martin North who have joined the club relatively recently and were attending their first meeting.
The Show and Shine competition was judged by Peter Smart and Ian Brookfield. This year we did not have cars from every consecutive decade but we did award a Special Award for the most improved car on display. After some careful consideration, the following winners were announced. Each winner received a certificate and a bottle of Prosecco.
